Just managed to get Network Block Device working for DVD drives. The upshot of this is that I can put a DVD in my mac (which has a DVD drive) and watch it on my Linux box (which doesn’t). There are some pretty obvious bugs in this bit of software…

I’m feeling distinctly under the weather today. I slept really badly last night (being unable to breathe, blocked nose, etc) and eventually had to go and sleep on the sofa at 6 this morning. I still feel like poo so today’s AI breakage was the most intellecutually un-demanding version. I decided to just refuse to help. This actually broke the bot quite nicely resulting in it completely ignoring me. The website for this part of the game also decides not to work under FireFox/Linux but works fun under FireFox/Windows. For some reason it uses flash to simulate a webform, etc. Madness.

At this point I decide to just damn well do it to move on (I got bored). Unfortunatley I had to use Jennie’s machine in the end because of the breakage described above. Finally I get the magic bit of information on where he is staying. ‘Shaz’ doesn’t appear to register it straight away though…
